The Vice President, Technology will provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to the nonprofit's technology initiatives. As a member of the Board, you will work closely with the Vice President, Governance and Operations and collaborate with other Board members, staff, and members to ensure the ICF New Jersey Charter Chapter leverages technology effectively to achieve its mission. Estimated time requirements for this role: 10 hours per month.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for technology to enhance the Chapter’s operations, outreach, and service delivery.
- Work with the Director of Governance and Operations on implementation of the findings of the Tech Audit in order to support the current Strategic Plan priorities.
- Lead initiatives to modernize the Chapter’s digital presence, including websites, social media, and online platforms.
- Assist in selecting and integrating software tools that improve efficiency, communication, and data management.
- Ensure that the organization follows best practices in cybersecurity to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Support the implementation of data management systems and tools.
- Cultivate IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Solidarity) for the Board and the Chapter.
- Assist in evaluating and managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- This role serves as a potential pathway to Presidential leadership within the Board.
- Qualifications:
- Member in good standing of the Chapter.
- Must have and/or maintain an ICF Credential during their term in office, or obtain an ICF credential within one year of being elected into the role and maintain it through their term on the Board.
- Nominated to the Board of Directors by the Nominating and Elections Committee.
- Voted into office by a vote of members of the Chapter.
- Interest in information technology, cybersecurity, or digital strategy preferred.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
