Voice of Inclusion Town Hall Series – Beyond Bias

    • Do you know what biases you have?
    • Would you like to learn how to become aware of your unconscious bias?
    • Do your clients share with you about their biases or the affect others’ bias has on them?
    • Do you want the tools to have effective conversations with clients about Bias?

If so, please join us for ICF New Jersey’s second webinar in our Voice of Inclusion Town Hall Series. The discussion will focus on Beyond Bias.

As coaches we know that the first step to change is having self-awareness. In an effort to enhance our self-awareness about racism and systemic inequality, ICF New Jersey is offering a Voice of Inclusion Town Hall Series.

There will be three 90-minute webinars:

“What is Diversity, Equity & Inclusion?” March 31, 2021 7:00-8:30 pm
    “Beyond Bias”   June 30, 2021 7:00-8:30 pm
“Ally to Advocate”  November 3, 2021  7:00-8:30 pm

Note: Special pricing is offered for registering for all 3 webinars.

In the second webinar - “Beyond Bias” - we will discuss:

If you want to be more inclusive, it’s imperative that you identify your biases. Unconscious bias impacts our daily work life and has unintentional effects on many aspects of engagement and development of ourselves, our clients and colleagues. In this session, you will learn about several types of biases and how they subtly influence decisions.

    Workshop Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

    • Learn the dynamics of unconscious or hidden bias
    • Examine types of hidden biases and how they can impact our daily life
    • Review tools designed to manage our unconscious bias and create inclusion in the workplace

Each of the workshops in the Voice of Inclusion Town Hall series has the following goals to help coaches be knowledgeable in the context of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:

    Coach Learning Goals:

    • Become more knowledgeable and aware across similarities and differences
    • Assess intent and impact of unconscious biases: Micro Inequities & Micro Aggressions
    • Identify your own biases and develop a personal plan for improvement
    • Gain clarity about the various aspects within your coaching role that may be open to unconscious bias
    • Gain greater perspective and respect for the client’s identity, experiences, values, and beliefs
    • Employ a set of practical tools and action plans
