“Resilience for Tomorrow: A StoryCorps®-Style Interactive Experience”

The author C.S. Lewis offers us a nugget of wisdom (amongst his many!) in his book The Horse and His Boy that is: “No one is told any story but their own.”

It is from the place of our own storied spaces that we will tap into our lived experiences that have helped us grow, learn, and develop resilience, while navigating the vulnerability of challenge, uncertainty, and curiosity. It is from our personal stories where we are informed, taught, moved, and shaped toward deeper resiliency.

In the style of NPR’s StoryCorps® Series, two coaches, Carrie and Neville, will share stories of their 20-year friendship and explore a key source of RESILIENCE, which lies in the power of connection, a value that holds primacy for today and tomorrow.

As the coaches interview each other, they will unearth themes of trust, authenticity, humor, vulnerability, presence, and active listening. Participants are invited to look for parallels between these themes and how they might inform and deepen the power of coaching.

This free webinar is an opportunity for coaches to observe, consider, and assimilate how:

    • Human connection is a vital source of resilience.
    • Trust, authenticity, vulnerability, presence, and active listening are aspects of human connection and coaching, and their importance in building clients’ resilience.
    • Coaching is a vital role to play in building clients’ resilience during historic periods of exceptionally high uncertainty.
