Be a Trigger-Proof Coach with 5 Easy Questions

Please join ICF-NJ’s coaching community at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, for
an evening of discussion, connection and learning.

    Date: Thursday, February 27, 2020

    Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM ET

Presented by: Wendy Dolber, ACC, MA, Belief Centered Coach, Option Method Master Teacher

As coaches, the last thing we want is to get triggered in a coaching session. Triggers take us right out of the present moment, drastically diminish our listening skills and otherwise pull the rug out from under our core competencies.

We all have ways of coping with triggers, but what if we can do better? In this 90-minute interactive webinar, Wendy Dolber will introduce you to a technique that you can use to efficiently and effectively “detrigger” your personal and professional life.

Here are some of the questions we’ll consider:

    1. What triggers you?
    2. What are triggers really all about?
    3. What’s the one element that all triggers share?
    4. How can you defuse and even eliminate triggers in your personal and professional life?
    5. How can you help your clients defuse and eliminate triggers?
    6. What are the 5 easy questions that work like a charm?

You will learn to embody a coaching mindset by:

    • Understanding your personal triggers as a way of deepening awareness of self.

    • Learning how to regulate and defuse triggers.

    • Learning a tool to mentally and emotionally prepare for sessions.

    • Learning a new skill to support the client in reframing perspectives, helping them to understand their triggers and beliefs as a way of evoking awareness.

    • Learning a set of questions designed to help yourself and the client explore beyond current thinking, and deal effectively and efficiently with negative triggers, beliefs and emotions.

Registration includes an opportunity for a 30-minute private session with Wendy Dolber.

    Pricing:
    ICF Members - $15
    Non-members - $20
